RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Police need your help to solve a violent robbery in the streets of Richmond. It happened in the 100 block of South Pine Street in the Oregon Hill neighborhood.

At around 3:30 pm, Wednesday, a 60-year-old woman was attacked while walking by herself.

Neighbors are talking about it.

"I heard they just ran at her and took her down, and there's no need for that," said Pine Street resident, Steve Mitchell.

Investigators say two men pushed the 60-year-old woman to the ground, yanked off her purse, and took off in a dark SUV.

The two men who attacked were described as Hispanic males in their 20's. Surveillance photos show the possible two plus another man and woman at a Henrico County department store using the victim's credit cards. Neighbors are a bit shaken by the crime.

"It's kind of bad, it's not a bad area, but I can see that happening, not someplace I'd walk at night," said area resident, Michaela McReynolds.

"It went from not being violent to something happening over night and it just scared everybody," said Mitchell.

If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
