RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A conviction today in a daytime stabbing and murder on a busy section of Broad Street in downtown Richmond.

Desean Trent, 27, entered an Alford Plea today to the second degree murder of Javis Turner.

The plea means Trent does not admit guilt but acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict him.

Turner was fatally stabbed at least five times near a bus stop on Oct. 29, 2009, on East Broad Street at around 4 p.m. in the afternoon in front of a crowd of people.

Trent will be sentenced in September.
