RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - We could know by the end of the week whether two Richmond police officers were justified in the shooting of a murder suspect.
The Commonwealth's Attorney's Office for the City of Richmond is investigating last week's shooting of Jataynun Fleming, 22.
Police said they were forced to shoot Fleming at the end of a five-hour stand off at a home in South Richmond.
Prosecutors are waiting on ballistic reports and a meeting with the medical examiner.
Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Tracy Thorne-Begland said today, he could release his findings as early as Friday.
