RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The postal carrier accused of abandoning mail in Bon Air appeared before a federal judge today.
Timothy Myrick, 20, is accused of throwing mail into Bon Air Creek in April. During his arraignment today, he pleaded not guilty to one count of obstruction of mail.
His bench trial is scheduled for Sept. 27. If convicted, he could spend six months behind bars and have to pay a $5,000 fine.
