UPDATE: Delay on sale of homes once owned by convicted ponzi schemer

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Some homes once owned by convicted ponzi schemer Donald Lacey were planned to go up for sale today but the sale has been delayed.

Woodside Estates in Ashland will now go on the auction block in August. The 114-acre subdivision contains about 150 buildable lots.

Lacey pleaded guilty in federal court to two felonies in a scam that defrauded dozens of investors out of millions of dollars.

He faces up to 30 years in prison when he's sentenced on August 3.
