Defendant's attorney wants change of venue

Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The attorney for the man accused of beating an elderly Louisa woman wants to move the case out of the community.

Ramone Houchens' attorney filed a change of venue motion yesterday.

Attorneys will argue the motion next Monday.

During that hearing, Houchens is also expected to enter a plea.

He's charged with aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, and burglary in connection with the beating of an 87 year old woman in May.
