RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - They won't say if it's an accident or suicide, but a spokesperson with the National Parks Service in Arizona, does confirm tonight that a body found at the base of a cliff in the Grand Canyon was in fact, former Hanover County Commonwealth's Attorney -- Kirby Porter.

Around 9 o'clock Sunday evening, Grand Canyon Park Rangers received a report of a man seen exiting a car at Moran Point, climbing over a retaining wall, and lying down on the edge of the canyon rim. A body was found at the base of the cliff the next day.

Kirby Porter was 50-years-old, he leaves behind 4 children, and was reportedly in the middle of divorce proceedings at the time of his death.
