LOUISA COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - The man accused of beating a Louisa grandmother is expected in court Tuesday, just one day after he was indicted on new charges in the case.

Remone Houchens will go before a judge Tuesday to face those new charges -- charges that come with some serious penalties.

A Louisa grand jury indicted the 19-year-old. He's now charged with felony aggravated malicious wounding, robbery and burglary with the intent to commit robbery.

The charges stem from the May 22 brutal beating of 87-year-old Lois Rosson. Rosson lost sight in her left eye in the brutal attack.

Remone's mother says the Sheriff's office has the wrong guy.

Remone Houchens is scheduled to appear in court to have an attorney appointed. His brother Rontray Houchens, who was also indicted on new drug charges in a separate case, will enter a plea in August.
