Hanover burning ban in effect Monday

Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A countywide burn ban begins Monday in Hanover county.

County leaders are worried about the dry, hot weather causing wildfires.

Anyone caught illegally burning could face a fine up to $500.

It's up to the County Administrator, Department of Forestry, and fire experts to decide when the ban ends.
