Services set for woman killed in Rappahannock boating accident

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Funeral services have been set for Amanda Brady, a Henrico school teacher killed in a boating accident Monday night.

Brady, 25, was among 10 people on a boat when it hit a channel marker on the Rappahannock river.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, Va., with Rev. William B. Schardt officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to R.C. Longan Elementary School, 9200 Mapleview Avenue, Henrico, Va. 23294, in loving memory of Amanda Brady.
