RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - You could soon seen more retail coming to the Carytown area.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch is reporting that a realty firm wants to convert a Verizon building into retail space.
A specialty grocery store could be among the possible uses for the building.
The real estate firm has applied for a permit to convert the two-story building into a retail center that would have an underground parking garage with about 98 spaces.
It could take months for the Richmond City Council to approve the special-use permit.
