RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A lawsuit over a slave burial ground beneath a VCU parking lot will go before a judge.
Former City Councilman Sa'ad El-Amin is suing the State Department of Historic Resources.
He wants tests done to determine the boundaries of the burial ground under the parking lot. El-Amin says it's the state's responsibility to do the work.
The state has said it would make the site available for exploration, but would not foot the bill.
