New details in shooting outside Vick's party

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - There's new details about a shooting outside of Michael Vick's birthday party late last week, and while authorities have said that Vick is not a person of interest -- he could still be in some trouble.

The victim in that shooting was Quannis Phillips -- one of Vick's co-defendants in his federal dogfighting case.

According to witnesses -- Phillips became disgruntled and threw cake in Vick's face once the Eagles' quarterback and his brother Marcus noticed he crashed the party.

It is unclear whether Phillips was even invited to the birthday bash, but Vick's parole agreement indicates that he must not associate with a convicted felon unless authorized by his probation officer.

The NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles have both released statements saying that they are gathering facts from the incident.

In regards to Vick -- the question is whether he violated parole, not whether he was involved in the shooting.
