CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - It could be weeks before we get any more information on a body found in the Appomattox River Saturday morning.
Chesterfield Police say they considering the state of the body it could take weeks before identification is made.
Over the weekend, a passerby spotted a vehicle in the river underneath interstate 95, near mile marker 53.
Crews say the body in the car may have been there for weeks. No word on whether the body is male or female.
