RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A part-time postal worker accused of abandoning the mail went before a judge today. Twenty-year old Timothy Myrick was in U.S. Federal Court this morning for his initial appearance for an obstruction of mail charge.
He will be arraigned next month. If convicted he could spend 6 months behind bars and pay a five-thousand dollar fine.
In April, dozens of pieces of mail were found in a Bon Air creek. After a federal investigation, Myrick is believed to be the only postal carrier involved.
