CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A major break in a high school vandalism case in Chesterfield County. Police say they've charged four teenagers with the crime but the investigation isn't over.

Four Cosby High School graduates now face felony charges. Police say they're responsible for defacing their own school.

The 18-year-olds turned themselves in to police. Arrested were:

  • Sean P. Cummings of the 14200 block of Watercrest Court
  • Christian J. Evers of the 4300 block of Otterburn Road
  • Michael B. Ramkey Jr. of the 11700 block of Riverpark Drive
  • Nicholas J. Rosswog of the 5500 block of Marsh Light Lane

All four surrendered last Friday. They're accused of spray painting sexual images and other offensive drawings on the school building on June 10. The crime was caught on surveillance cameras. Police say the teens knew what they did was wrong and hope others won't repeat their mistakes.

"This crime, because it was defacing a public building on a very important day - this was graduation day for a lot of people, it had an impact on the community so solving this crime made a big impact on this community as well," said Chesterfield Police Capt. Russ Lescault.

Again the four teens just graduated from Cosby. They're charged with felony destruction or defacing public property. They have been released from police custody. Police say they expect more arrests in this case soon.

Anyone with information about this case should call Chesterfield County Police at (804) 748-1251 or Crime Solvers at (804) 748-0660 or text the code tip699 with the tip and send to 274637 (CRIMES).
