Teen arrested following Mills Godwin High School vandalism

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Police arrested an 18-year-old male and a juvenile following an incident that unfolded early Friday morning at Mills Godwin High School.

Peyton M. Fowlkes, 18, of the 2400 block of Crowncrest Drive, faces charges of burglary and vandalism. Police say Fowlkes and a juvenile broke into the school and vandalized the property by spray painting the floors. According to arrest records, the value of repairs to the damage exceeds $1,000. The pair was arrested on-scene shortly after 4:00 a.m. Friday, according to police. The juvenile's name was not released.

Henrico Police were unable to provide additional details. A spokesperson for Henrico County Public Schools later said both of the accused are Godwin students.
