High speed chase suspect faces new charges

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man who prosecutor's say hit and killed a local pastor while fleeing police is facing new charges tonight.

26-year-old Darryl Harris was indicted by a grand jury today on aggravated involuntary manslaughter, felony eluding police and second offense DUI.

Harris is already facing charges of a second degree murder and felony hit and run.

Police say he fled a checkpoint and ran into Pastor Anthony Taylor at an intersection in Church Hill.

He's set to go on trial in July.
