YORKTOWN, VA (WWBT) - The FBI is searching an area near Yorktown for what could be human remains in connection with the Colonial Parkway murders investigation.

Six cadaver dog teams scoured several locations along the parkway Saturday.

Searchers along with victim's families were looking for new clues and the remains of two of the eight victims in the cold case that dates back to the 80's.

NBC12 was there when one dog picked up a scent in the woods near an old cemetery near the Bellfield Plantation.

That is where the FBI is focusing its search today.

A former homicide detective brought in by the victim's families says the FBI will be sifting and digging in what could be a day long search for human remains.
