Revitalizing Richmond's East End

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Hundreds came out tonight to get their first look at plans to revitalize Richmond's East End.

Mayor Dwight Jones addressed the standing-room only crowd.

He told them it will be up to the community to decide how to plan for new homes, stores and schools. He says he wants to return the neighborhood to a vibrancy it hasn't seen in a long time.

This is the first of many meetings, open to the public, to plan for changes in the Nile Mile Road corridor.
