LOUISA, VA (WWBT) - The man charged with beating an elderly Louisa woman in a home invasion last week faced a judge today.
Remone Houchens, 19, was denied bond this morning.
In a surprise move, Houchens talked to reporters moments before heading into court. Houchens apologized before admitting to breaking into Lois Rosson's house but says he didn't do what investigators allege he did.
Rosson lost sight in her left eye after the brutal attack that happened May 22.
In court today, the prosecutor told the judge Houchens grabbed Rosson's crotch and breast and licked her face then told her he was going to have sex with her and make sure she would never talk.
The prosecutor says the attack stopped when Rosson yelled for someone upstairs.
The prosecutor also stated evidence points to Houchens being involved with the Bloods street gang and was running from the Crips that night.
