Power restored in the Northern Neck

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Power has been restored to nearly 15,000 Dominion customers in the Northern Neck area.

A transformer at a substation caught fire around 7pm Thursday night causing those outages.  Everyone was back online by midnight.

Most people who were impacted live in Lancaster and Northumberland Counties.

It's unclear what caused the fire.
