John Marshall Courts building re-opened following alarm

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Fire/EMS crews responded to the John Marshall Courts Building just after 9 a.m. for a fire alarm.
According to spokesperson Shawn Jones, crews arrived and discovered the smell of something burning. They also noticed a slight haze of smoke. Workers were evacuated as firefighters entered the building.
A short time later, the problem was traced to the HVAC unit, and may have been electrical in nature, according to Jones.
The was no fire, and no injuries reported. Jones said workers were evacuated for about 40 minutes before they were allowed to return to work.
