RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man will spend the rest of his life in prison for a vicious attack on a homeless man.
A judge sentenced Carl Landes Wells, 59, to life for the stabbing Anthony Washington at downtown Richmond's Kanawha Plaza in 2007.
The attack left Washington paralyzed from the waist down and an arm also had to be amputated.
Prosecutors say the pair had argued over money. Washington owed Wells for a bag of potato chips.
