PRINCE GEORGE, VA (WWBT) – A jury has found a Prince George father guilty of a involuntary manslaughter charge in connection to his daughter's death.

The jury deliberated late into the evening before sentencing 30-year-old Larry Morgan Jr. to 12 months is prison. Prosecutors say Morgan junior lost control and shook 2-month-old Khloe Morgan to death, in October of 2009.

Morgan's defense team called Khloe's death an "unexplained tragedy" -- and noted that she had "no bruises" on her body. Our cameras caught up with Khloe's mother and grandparents shortly after the verdict came down.

"Yes it is a surprising outcome because…he killed her," said Anne Talley, Khloe's grandmother.

"I feel the jury let us down. They let the whole Prince George County down. And they just let a baby killer go free for 12 months. And that's not right," said Khloe's Grandfather Douglas Talley.

Larry Morgan's parents did not want to speak on camera but said they are relieved the case is over -- and that loved Khloe too. Morgan is currently being at the Riverside Regional Jail.
