RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Dominion Power said a malfunction in a substation device caused power outages to about 18,000 customer around 9:45 a.m. Monday.
The outages affected customers along Broad Street west of Parham Road in Henrico County.
Within one minute of the outage, power to about 6,000 customers was restored. The remaining customers were back online by 10:40 a.m.
Dominion Power spokesman first said that about 25,000 customers were affected but it turned out only 18,000 customers lost power.
