CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) – A man wanted in connection to a homicide at a Chesterfield apartment complex last month is now in custody.
Police say 19-year-old De'Jon Person was apprehended Friday in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Person was one of two men wanted by police for the shooting death of 19-year-old Clifford Cox IV.
Cox was killed April 21 outside the Cloverleaf Lake Apartments.
The second suspect, 21-year-old Garry Harrison Jr., has been charged with murder, robbery and distribution of marijuana.
Police say Person is being held in PA but is expected to be extradited back to VA.
No word yet on what charges he may face.
Police say the apprehension was made possible by a unified effort between state, regional and local police agencies.
