CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WWBT) - With the recent attention on Charlottesville and the Love investigation, some are being reminded of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington. Three months after disappearing from a Metallica concert on the UVA campus her body was found. Her killer is still on the loose.
Morgan's mother Gil Harrington had just returned from Africa, where she is building a school in memory of her daughter, when she heard the news of Love's tragic death.
Harrington says she's devastated and heartbroken for Love's family.
Although Harrington said she doesn't believe there is a link in the two cases, she said that the two deaths show an increase in violence against young women.
