Passenger bus rear-ended by alleged drunk driver

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police are investigating a two vehicle accident that happened just before 1:00 Saturday morning in the 1500 block of W. Main St.

Police say the bus, used by To the Bottom and Back taxi service, was stopped in a travel lane in front of Baja Bean Company restaurant when it was struck from behind by a vehicle.

One passenger in that colliding vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the driver, 31-year-old Thomas S. Burt, was charged with DUI and driving without a license.
