RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - It's still early in the season, but the Richmond Flying Squirrels are already talking about their role for plans on a new stadium.

The club's president and CEO tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch, that the Squirrels organization is prepared to pay 25 percent of the cost of a new ballpark, if Richmond, Chesterfield and Henrico Counties agree to become funding partners.

Talks are still in the early stages and many are waiting on a city study on the economic impact of the Boulevard region.
