RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A rally is set for Thursday night to help a Richmond Charter School open its' doors later this year.

School leaders still need more than $100,000 in funding to complete the projects needed to operate. One major project is making the building ADA compliant.

Now, leaders are hoping to move classes here to Woodland Heights Baptist Church, just three blocks down the road.

However, to do that the Richmond School Board must approve the move. Charter school leaders have written a letter to the school board explaining the problems and are asking them to approve up to a one year lease.
