COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA (WWBT) - A North Carolina man is facing a reckless driving charges following a crash that tied up traffic on I-95.
Police say the tractor trailer ran off the road around 7:40 Saturday morning just north of the Temple Avenue exit on I-95 south.
The semi ran down the embankment and overturned, spilling its load of apples.
Two lanes were closed for much of the day to allow crews to clean up the mess.
The driver 33-year-old Richard Fitzpatrick was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
