CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - The winter storms may be to blame but the utility wires in Tremella Davis's driveway in Chesterfield have become unavoidable.
"It started really getting low when we had all the ice and snow and what have you but you can see it gradually dropping," said Davis.
Davis has already seen service vehicles get stuck underneath.
"The problem is that box trucks or even SUV's running through here is hanging up in it look it's so low that I can touch it," she said.
She's tried calling everyone she can think of.
"It's extremely frustrating when you call Dominion Virginia power, no it's not ours, you call Verizon, it's not ours you call Comcast, it's not ours, you call misc utility, we don't have the responsibility and no one can tell you what to do so I turned to channel 12," she said.
Once we got out to her home on West Salisbury Road and took a closer look, we saw in fine print, Comcast on one of the wires. But Davis said she already talked to Comcast and they said, it couldn't be theirs.
"I called them yesterday I talked with a young lady and she was adamant that they had no cable above ground."
So we called Comcast ourselves and with Davis's help, got an emergency maintenance order in.
"I would like for the cable just to be raised to a safe position that's all I ask," she said.
