RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - It's no surprise that family and friends are still devastated over the death of little Christian Stephens.

Funeral services are being held at 11 a.m. at Scott's Funeral Home in the east end.

45 year old Kevin Lucas, the boyfriend of the child's mother Maria, is behind bars - accused in the child's death.

Neighbors were shocked and saddened by this crime and are hoping especially the siblings of this smiling boy can find healing.

The ME ruled Christian's death a homicide adding that the boy died from blunt force injuries to the head.

Sources have told NBC12 that he was thrown into a wall.

Kevin Lucas has not denied being home, on Farrell Court when Christian died.

But according to a quote from his attorney, Lucas says the boy "had run into a wall, and wasn't feeling well."
