RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)--A movie theatre in Richmond is getting a lot of praise from the real estate community.

Tuesday night the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate had their award for  project of the year.

Bow Tie's Movieland won the group's highest honor.

The 17-screen Movieland complex opened in February 2009.

The group awarded the Movieland project because they   helped become a catalyst for development along the Boulevard.

The complex is very close to the Diamond, which is home to the new Flying Squirrels team.

There are more plans for a possible restaurant or business that currently sits vacant in the theater's parking lot.
