UPDATE: Man hit by train in Ettrick dies

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - An update to an accident where a man was hit by a train in Chesterfield. Police tell us that man has died.

The train hit the man as he tried to ride a bicycle across the tracks in the 3500 block of South Street in Ettrick.

The accident happened around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.  The victim was flown by medflight to VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
