RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Virginia State Police have responded to the 700 block of East Franklin Street in downtown Richmond for a reported suspicious package.
A envelope addressed to the office of Senator Jim Webb was left in the lobby of the 700 Centre building. Police did shut down the street while they investigated and the building was evacuated. It has since been reopened.
Police will not release the contents of the package. It's under investigation. The package was found by an employee and it was left against a wall, according to police.
