Man sentenced in Louisa for sexual solicitation of a minor

LOUISA, VA (WWBT) - Russell Crenshaw, 58, of Round Hill, was sentenced to 20 years with all but two years suspended for two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor.

The defendant was arrested following an undercover operation by the Louisa County Sheriff's Department during October 2008 as part of CSI Louisa (Child Safety Initiative.)

Between, October 6, 2008-October 10, 2008, an undercover officer posing as a 13 year-old female was contacted by Crenshaw who was using the screen name "HAWKFLYER2" in an AOL chat room.  Crenshaw turned the conversation to sex and sent a picture of his penis to what he believed was a child, according to the release from the commonwealth's attorney.

The Louisa County Internet Crimes against Children Task Force then arrested Crenshaw at his home in Round Hill.  As part of Crenshaw's sentence he is required to register as a sex offender, have no contact with minors, and to not use a computer.
