Richmond police investigate two overnight shootings

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Two separate shootings in Richmond have sent two men to the emergency room.

The first happened around 10:30 Friday night in Hillside Court.

A 27-year-old man was found shot in the torso in the 1600 block of Rosecrest Ave.

He is at VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but is expected to survive.

The second shooting happened just a short time later in Creighton Court.

Around 10:45 Friday night police responded to the 2000 block of Creighton Rd.

When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot in the leg.

He was taken to VCU Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries.

No arrest have yet been made but police continue to investigate.
