RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Governor Bob McDonnell is urging Virginians to join their West Virginia neighbors in a moment of silence.
The observance is in memory of those who died in the explosion at Massey Energy's upper big branch mine.
The moment of silence will happen at 3:30 Monday, just one week after the disaster.
A team of federal investigators will arrive at the mine to try to identify what caused the explosion.
Crews are still working to remove the bodies from the mine.
