RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Some local restaurants had to change the way they do some things after getting some critical violations on their state health inspections.

In Chesterfield, Milestone Restaurant, located inside the Best Western, at 9826 Midlothian Turnpike had 4 critical violations. The inspector wrote that assorted dishes being used to serve food to customers were observed soiled. All violations were corrected for a perfect score on a follow-up inspection two weeks later.

Also in Chesterfield, Jade Garden at 7307 Taw Street had 4 critical violations. The report says improper methods were used to thaw chicken wings and shrimp. The manager tells us all violations were completely corrected by the follow-up inspection.

In Richmond, Pizza Hut at 5817 Midlothian Turnpike had 4 critical violations. The inspector wrote that "the person in charge failed to exclude a food employee suffering from restriction symptoms." The report says that violation was corrected during the inspection. A follow-up inspection report is not yet available. Our calls to the restaurant have not yet been returned.

All the glory of this week's NBC 12 Hall of Fame Award goes to Glory Days Grill of Harbourside at 6151 Harbourside Centre Loop in Chesterfield. This grill hasn't had any critical violations on state health inspections since 2005.
