Hanover County leash laws go into effect Thursday

HANOVER COUNTY, VA (WWBT)--Starting Thursday through June 30th, leash laws go into effect in Hanover County.

It prohibits dogs from running free to help cut down on rabies.

The law already applies year-round in Hanover's more populated areas.

Pets must also have a current county license tag affixed to their collars.
