Monkey attacks owner a second time

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - For the second time in two weeks, a monkey bite has sent a Chesapeake man to the hospital.

The seven-year-old Capuchin monkey tore into his owner's leg and hand. He even took off his pinky finger.

The owner's brother says the monkey was wrestled to the ground and knocked unconscious before being put back into its cage.

The monkey is a certified service animal.  He's supposed to comfort his owner's post-traumatic stress.

Two weeks ago when the animal attacked, the owner refused to let anything happen to him, but now his family says the monkey has got to go.
