CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Police have arrested and charged wanted suspect John Deon Taylor, 23, in connection with the Feb. 28 shooting incident in which a man was shot in the leg following an altercation at about 4 a.m. in the 6300 block of Belmont Road in Chesterfield.
The matter began as a domestic-related incident between the victim and his girlfriend, according to police. The victim was later confronted by four men who exited their vehicle and shot into the victim's vehicle. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening leg injury.
Taylor was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force at a home in the 2300 block of Clearfield Street in Richmond at 1:40 p.m. on March 23.
He is charged with felonious assault and is being held at the Chesterfield County Jail pending an upcoming hearing.
