RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Patrick Henry will be a hot topic at the next Richmond school board meeting. The issue is whether siblings of accepted students, are automatically accepted to attend the school, as well.

Right now there's an agreement between the school and the school board that says siblings of students at a Richmond public school in the past year are allowed to attend. Since Patrick Henry is a new school, members are looking to clarify this agreement.

"All the school board is trying to do is make sure that the process is fair and equitable to all of our students," said Kim Bridge, Richmond Public Schools Chair.

Both school leaders and school board members believe siblings of accepted students should attend. That determination will likely be finalized at the board meeting on March 29 before acceptance letters can be sent out.
