RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - They are the deepest cuts to education in recent memory. Lawmakers approved a spending plan that slashes a quarter of a billion dollars from schools across Virginia. But even though these cuts are bad, things are only expected to get worse.

And to break down the impact of these cuts, we are joined by our Education Specialist, Doctor Bill Bosher. See the video at right for the full interview.

Q: For parents, where will they see the biggest impact of these cuts coming from the state level?

Q: This is bad, but I have heard several superintendents and quite a few state legislators say, the worst is yet to come. What can we expect going forward?

Q: Is there any chance that in the long run, this "downsizing" of our education system, may actually make things leaner and more efficient?
