RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – There is a snag in the admissions for the Patrick Henry Charter School that may cause delays in notifications for accepted students.

A representative from the new Richmond charter school said there is an issue with the wording concerning the plan to automatically admit of siblings into the school.

If the name of one sibling in a family was pulled in the lottery the school had last week, then the rest of the qualified children from the family would also be admitted to the year-round charter school, as long as the selected student enrolled in the school. The representative said a decision the issue is expected to be made on March 29.

Ultimately, this means there will be a delay in the official notification if a child/children have been admitted into the school until the issue is resolved. So, that means notification letters won't be sent out until the beginning of April.
