RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)--Starting today Toyota is suspending production at two of its plants in the United States.
Toyota is temporarily suspending production at assembly plants in San Antonio, Texas, and Georgetown, Kentucky after a string of massive recalls has reduced demand for their vehicles.
The automaker says they are instituting the stoppage to make sure they don't have extra cars sitting on dealer's lots.
The suspension is not expected to impact the anticipated summer launch of the new Tacoma pickup.
