RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)--The government says it cannot explain the high-speed acceleration incident in California last week.
Now Toyota is holding a news conference today in San Diego to release its early findings on the alleged accident.
Both Toyota and technicians with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say they were unable to duplicate the incident.
That has raised questions about the sequence of events.
The California highway patrol says it's found no sign of a hoax.
A lawyer for that driver says his client stands by the story.
