Parents give input on new schools

Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Parents will have a chance to voice their opinions on plans to build new schools in Richmond.

Broad Rock elementary and Oak Grove elementary schools will soon get new buildings.

Tuesday night they held a community meeting to share updates and gather input from parents and residents.

They shared their thoughts about community usage as well as curriculum elements needed to ensure a 21st century learning environment.

If you missed Tuesday night's meeting at Broad Rock, another one will be held Wednesday at Oak Grove elementary school from 6 to 8 p.m.
